Watford star Gerard Deulofeu believes LaLiga bests the Premier League as the top league in football.The 24-year-old forward joined talkSPORT for an exclusive look ahead of Saturday’s clash against Everton – dubbed the Marco Silva derby – and said he was hungry to beat his former side.Deulofeu came through the ranks at Barcelonas famous La Masia academy and left the Calatan club to join the Hornets last summer in a 11.3million deal after spending the second half of last season on loan at Vicarage Road.But he first arrived on English soil with Everton in 2013, first on loan and then in a permanent deal, before re-signing for Barca in 2017.2

Deulofeu signed for Everton for 4.3m – they later sold him back to Barcelona for 10.5m

Now at Vicarage Road, Deulofeu is in as good a position as any to compare the Spanish and English top flights.And he believes Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Gareth Bale, Antoine Griezmann, Ballon dOr winner Luka Modric and the host of other superstars playing in his homeland puts LaLiga above the rest.Asked if the Premier League is the best league in the world, the Spain international told talkSPORTs Ian Abrahams: Yes, in terms of passion, the fans and full stadiums, yes.But in terms of better players, I think Spain is the most important league.2
