Mesut Ozil has reportedly suffered a knee issue and so will miss Arsenal’s match against Liverpool on Saturday, live on talkSPORT.The Gunners team bus arrived in the city on Friday evening, with every member bar one disembarking as expected.2

Mesut Ozil hasn’t featured consistently in Unai Emery’s team

Ozil was the sole notable exception – not seen or pictured by photographers who witnessed the arrival – and it was later revealed by BBC’s David Ornstein that this was due to pain in his knee.It is understood that the German midfielder encountered the problem while training on Friday and was then withdrawn from the side.Under manager Unai Emery, Ozil has struggled for consistent game time, playing just 20 minutes between mid-November and late December.He was substituted at half time during Arsenals disappointing 1-1 draw at Brighton on Boxing Day.Reports have suggested that the 30-year-old could leave the club on a temporary basis when the transfer window opens next month, but Emery insists he is not planning to lose him.2

Ozil was missing on Friday night

At a recent press conference the manager stated: I am not thinking about this situation.He has scored three goals, he give us assists. Some matches we need different things tactically and individually. Its not only for him.For me the players salary is not important for me, I dont know the players salary because for me they are the same.Every player, I want to give them the same conversation or the same decision for play or not play.The most important thing for me is the commitment and they are every player with the commitment. And then when I decide they are not to play because of a tactical decision, its with him and another.If you are asking this is different because one is with more salary and the other is less salary, for me its the same.
