Ousmane Dembele is ready to leave Barcelona in a 100million deal, which could take place as soon as January.However, it would appear he will not be going to Liverpool as boss Jurgen Klopp is not keen on meeting the steep price tag.2

Dembele has fallen out of favour at Barcelona

The France intentional is failing to impress in Catalonia after arriving at the Camp Nou in a 97million deal in the summer of 2017.He was brought in to replace Neymar who left in a world record deal to Paris Saint-Germain. However, Dembele has failed to get anywhere near the heights of the Champions League winner in his short spell.And now, according to the Daily Mirror, they are ‘confident’ of selling the 21-year-old to the Premier League side.However, the Spanish side are aware the Reds have spent big on transfers in recent years, smashing the world record fees for a defender and a goalkeeper to bring in Virigil van Dijk for 75million and then Alisson Becker for 62million.2

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is not keen on such a big transfer

Liverpool (and Jurgen Klopp in particular) are reportedly not happy with spending so much money on a new forward at this time.Klopp is also understood to be happy with his front line at Liverpool, dominated by Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.The Premier League side had previously been linked with a move for the exciting forward, with Arsenal also reportedly interested.Dembele called in sick and missed training before the international break.
